Hen Harrier Project European Innovation Partnership

The Hen Harrier Project (2018-2023) is a European Innovation Partnership for Agriculture productivity and Sustainability (EIP AGRI). These innovation partnerships focus on societal benefits using multi-actor approaches fostering cooperation between research and innovation partners to achieve enhanced results for particular targets. The Hen Harrier Project aims to improve the sustainability of rural areas within areas designated as Special Protection Areas for Hen Harriers. The project works as a practical partnership, results-based approach to farming aimed at delivering biodiversity, upland ecosystem services and a vibrant local economy. The project is conducted by GMIT (ARD group) in partnership with Hen Harrier Project Limited with funding from the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine.
