This is a 3-year project funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM). The main aims are to advance our understanding of amoebic gill disease affecting Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) using a range of molecular (genetics, transcriptomics, proteomics) and microbiological techniques, with particular attention to the acute immune response as well as adaptive immune response.
