I am a DAFM-funded PhD student investigating dietary interactions among three deer species in Ireland using non-invasive genetics. My research, a collaboration between UCD, Maynooth University, and ATU, combines DNA metabarcoding with population density data from camera traps. I am particularly interested in how interspecific competition and human interference shape deer dietary patterns, with the ultimate goal of informing wildlife management strategies regarding their vegetation impact.

I hold an MSc in Biology of Environmental Change from the University of Eastern Finland and a BSc in Biology from Ulm University, Germany. Beyond my current focus on deer, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of species, including meerkats, bats, and songbirds, reflecting my broad interest in animal ecology and conservation.
