I am focused on understanding the impact of plastic pollution on ecosystems. Growing up in Bangladesh, I developed a strong appreciation for nature through exploring forests and landscapes. This passion led me to earn a bachelor’s degree in Botany, where I became aware of the severe plastic pollution crisis affecting my country.
To investigate this issue further, I pursued a master’s degree in Biological and Environmental Chemistry with a specialization in Agricultural Chemistry from South Korea. My research focused on the effects of microplastics on vegetable plants and their accumulation in crops, enhancing my understanding of plastic’s chemical components and their risks to ecosystems.
Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Natural Science and Environment at Atlantic Technological University. My research focuses on the molecular characterization of plastic leachates and their ecotoxicity in marine environments.
